The Name Behind the Practice
Why 1796.
In 1796, a surveyor named Moses Cleaveland stood at the edge of Lake Erie and mapped a city that didn’t exist yet. He couldn’t see the skyline. He couldn’t know what would come. He planned anyway. That act of deliberate, long-range thinking gave Cleveland its foundation.
We named this practice after that year because it describes how we work. Start with a plan. Build around it. Let time prove it out.
